WELL, WELL, WELL. LOOK WHAT THE GOTH DRAGGED IN.

The night has always belonged to vampires, witches, ghosts and other pale, melodramatic creatures with expensive wardrobes.

Then the chavs turned up.

They gather at bus stops. They roam in Crews. They drink cheap cider, perform acts of inexplicable violence and possess a highly developed ability to identify anyone who has “looked at them funny”.

Most alarming of all, some of them have Powers.

Chav: The Knifing – XPRESS Edition is a complete comedy roleplaying game of supernatural street violence, British class caricature and heroic levels of antisocial behaviour.

Create your own supernaturally empowered delinquent and enter the hidden Shadow World, where the spooky children of the night have discovered something even they fear: large groups of angry people in sportswear.

Choose your Credo, develop peculiar Talentz, cultivate a distinctive Schtick and assemble a Crew capable of defending its territory against rival gangs, supernatural predators, authority figures and anyone wearing the wrong trainers.

You may not understand the ancient forces behind your strange abilities.

You may not even realise that ancient forces are involved.

What matters is that the cider is cheap, the bus shelter is yours and somebody across the road appears to be laughing.

Inside you’ll find:

  • Complete rules for creating and playing your own Chav.

  • The quick and accessible XPRESS System.

  • Credoz representing different varieties of social menace.

  • Supernatural Talentz including heightened strength, speed, toughness, gunplay, knife fighting, parkour and stranger abilities.

  • Merits, Flaws, Skills, equipment and assorted lifestyle complications.

  • Rules for Crews, territory and the sacred bonds of antisocial friendship.

  • The corrupting influence of Chav culture and what happens when a character begins behaving like a decent human being.

  • Details of Chavthulhu, the mysterious Bus Stop God.

  • Advice for running street-level supernatural adventures.

  • Compatibility with Bloodsucker: The Angst and the wider Shadow World line.

Play the Chavs as protagonists defending their estate from genuine monsters, as supernatural hooligans causing havoc across town, or as antagonists for the precious gothic immortals of Bloodsucker: The Angst.

Beneath the crude jokes is a complete urban-fantasy game about group identity, poverty, aspiration, loyalty, prejudice and the strange little cultures people build when respectable society has already written them off.

You can explore that.

Or you can nick a moped and fight a vampire outside Lidl.

Both are legitimate forms of play.

It is not delicate, tasteful or approved by the local council.

Respect the Crew. Protect the bus stop.

And never, ever, spill another Chav’s cider.
