The selection moves from colourful supernatural beings to stark monochrome horrors, with plenty of potential allies, enemies and extremely discouraging discoveries along the way.

There are witches, liches, amazons and orcish pirates, along with a dire wolf, a mysterious Lavinda and a cavewoman whose wardrobe has made only a token concession to the climate. Larger scenes include an evil overlord’s tower, a mountain encounter and a golden medusa tableau, while the dead villagers and savaged remains should help establish that the local authorities have lost control of the situation.
