Eastern Collection 1 contains 16 image files representing 15 distinct illustrations by Brad McDevitt. The Fu Manchu portrait is supplied in both colour and greyscale, while the rest of the collection mixes monochrome linework with several full-colour pieces.

The selection includes warriors, monsters, magical figures and larger scenes suitable for samurai fantasy, supernatural horror, martial-arts pulp and other settings drawing upon East Asian imagery. There is a haunted Japanese interior, a samurai confronting an oni, demon cats behaving exactly as cats would if granted occult powers, and a display of chi energetic enough to settle most theological disputes from across the room.

Brad McDevitt’s strong inks and expressive old-school style make these illustrations useful for role-playing games, adventures, bestiaries, campaign settings, fiction and other projects requiring artwork with a little grit, movement and personality.
